Multi-piece metal decor needed to hang in balance on the wall without wasting material in production.
Process
To produce metal wall decor suited to the manufacturing process, the designs were optimised with UV printing and CNC/laser cutting in mind. UV bleed allowances were calculated and cutting tolerances set to production standards. For multi-piece works, centre-of-gravity analyses were carried out for balanced mounting and hanging points were planned accordingly. Parts were arranged for the most efficient layout (nesting) on the metal sheets, reducing material waste.
